My first run: collet chuck adapter failed

After more than half a year since I've started ordering parts, today I finally started my first mill! Unfortunately, it lasted only 20 seconds You can watch it here:


As you can see, small adapter came off the chuck! I think the problem may be, that it was a little too tight for my bit (bit measured about 3mm, less than 1/8 for sure!) and I haven't put the bit deep enough inside it. By the way, the feedrate was 500mm/min. Is it ok for a plywood or should I make it slower?

And the question is - is there some standard by which katsu collets are made? Is it ER11 or something else? I think I would like to buy a chuck holder/adapter locally and of better quality than the stuff directly from china. But I'm not sure what to search for.

It's too deep!! You can't plunge 10mm directly in plywood with such a machine. 1mm deep in plywood is a good starting point, with straight endmill like this one I've got good results:

and try to plunge slower too.

You need to learn a bit more before the next attempt (1 year after my first cuts, I'm still learning, it's a lot more complexe than the 3D printer world)

I've got new adapter This time I first tried everything with a foam (used for house insulation). Of course it worked well. So I've started my second try with plywood. This time I've made 3mm deep cuts and everything went well, until the last pass, when my endmill broke
I think next time I'll try endmill proposed by Aze. I've got two of them already. The only thing is I've ordered ones with 2mm scut width. So I think I'll have to make really small passes, like proposed 1mm Every pass takes a litle more than 2 minutes, so for 10mm plywood it will take about half an hour for such a simple stuff. For me it looks like the machine itself can make 10mm in plywood easily, you just have to have good endmill and know what you are doing ( = good settings like feedrates, spindle speed, etc.). I think, I've read somewhere on French part of the forum, that 6mm endmills are too much to the machine? Have someone tried them?
I would've tried some expensive endmills bought locally, but as fas as I saw, nobody sells inch sized, they only have, 3mm, 6mm and 8mm :/

The endmill on the pics (diamond style) is made for composite (fiberglass, carbon,...)

For wood milling, you should have a 2 flutes straight endmill like that:
